Initiatives: Where Art and Advocacy Meet
Our Initiatives are creative programs that bring together disabled musicians, patients, and healthcare changemakers to share stories, make music, and build a more inclusive future.
Whether through concerts, podcasts, or patient-composer collaborations, we help turn lived experience into movement—for accessibility, visibility, and healing.
Our mission:
To advance equity in music and healthcare
by supporting adaptive artistry, patient storytelling, and research shaped by real lives.
We believe people with disabilities and complex diagnoses should be seen, heard, and supported—not dismissed or diminished. That’s why we create:
Podcasts that connect patients and providers.
Live performances that give voice to the unheard.
Grants and platforms that remove barriers to care and creativity.
This is what happens when story becomes sound, and inclusion becomes action.
We’re not just raising awareness—we’re building new systems of care and creativity.
This is where art fights for access. And every note is a step toward change.
Our Funding Seeds:
Thrive x Strive Musician Podcast (Name change TBA)
The Thrive x Strive Musician Podcast spotlights disabled and chronically ill artists who are reshaping what’s possible in music. Through intimate interviews and pre-concert conversations, we explore how adaptation, artistry, and lived experience come together on and off the stage. This podcast is a platform for musicians whose stories are often unheard — and whose resilience redefines excellence. From adaptive techniques to inclusive ensemble projects, each episode bridges creativity and care, showing how music can be a force for accessibility, advocacy, and change.
Hidden Diagnoses Impact Podcast -Unveiling EDS, CCI & Beyond
Rewriting the patient-provider story—together.
Hidden Diagnoses Impact is more than a podcast—it's a shared learning space. Through powerful conversations between patients and providers, we explore underrecognized conditions like Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, Cranio-Cervical Instability, and tethered spinal cord—but also the gaps in knowledge, communication, and trust that often surround them.
This series invites medical professionals to reflect, respond, and grow alongside patients—not to defend, but to understand. It offers a rare opportunity for both sides to see the system through each other’s eyes.
Because the root issue isn’t just disbelief—
It’s disconnection.
And change begins when we listen, learn, and rebuild trust together.
We’re not calling out—we’re calling in.
Toward a healthcare future shaped by lived experience and mutual respect.
History of these Initiatives:
It all started with an idea, a fruit for thought.
In 2020, the idea of making musicians’ careers mentally and physically healthier evolved into creating the Musician Podcast.
Four years later…
As the host of the podcast, due to health reasons, it was on pause for a long time. Amy was eager to share her story about continuing her career while finding answers for her ongoing progressive paralysis.
After undergoing her skull-to-neck stabilization and all the gaslighting among those local doctors, she finds the need to awaken humanity in the healthcare community and researched into the why:
May 2024, Hidden Diagnoses Impact - Encourages for telling undiagnosed stories, has launched.
After launching the podcast and bravely sharing her story, Amy faced even more dismissal — not less. Through a year of frequent hospitalizations and medical setbacks, her voice was often questioned instead of heard.
Now, as she stabilizes and steps into recovery, she’s more committed than ever to keep this mission alive — and to expand it through what she does best: music.
The foundation she is trying to establish is her way of turning pain into purpose — not just for herself, but for every disabled artist and patient whose story and life deserves a stage.
